15 Worst Catchphrases In Wrestling History
9. "Your Ass Is Grass And I'm Gonna Smoke It!" - X-Pac
As a 13-year-old crotch chop enthusiast, this line by X-Pac seemed the absolute coolest way one grown man could threaten another grown man with lightly homoerotic undertones. (It's leagues ahead of "I'm gonna pound your ass" and "Your ass is mine.")
Unfortunately, to most post-pubescents, Sean Waltman's throaty battle cry represented the worst things about X-Pac: It was cheesy masquerading as cool, it was grating, and it reeked of him trying too hard to be edgy.
Whereas his cohorts in DX came up with lines that instantly caught on with the crowds -- whether it be Triple H's Michael Buffer-aping "Let's get ready to suck it!" or Road Dogg's lengthy carnival barker schtick -- X-Pac came out swinging hard with a catchphrase that even tie-dyed, Phish-loving potheads thought was a bit too on the nose.
Honestly, it's amazing the phrase "X-Pac Heat" wasn't coined directly after he said this phrase on the mic a second time.
