15 Worst Moments Of The WWE Pandemic Era

5. Swamp Fight

Alexa Bliss’ disaster had to begin somewhere, and it really got its start when she partnered with The Fiend. And it really started here, in a match that basically ended the credibility of then-Universal Champion Braun Strowman.

WWE was way into cinematic matches after the success of its Boneyard Match and Firefly Fun House match at WrestleMania 36. But attempts to capture lightning in a bottle were less than successful, and we saw diminishing returns as the year wore on.

The Wyatt Swamp Fight between Bray and Braun was another attempt at cinematic gold, but it faltered badly. The match was terrible, and Strowman’s first (and only) world championship reign suffered greatly due to this and the entire Wyatt feud.

And then there was the Bliss factor, with Alexa becoming linked to The Fiend in the aftermath of this match, which led to our previous entry.

So yeah, we’re really getting into the worst of the worst.
