When Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander were unceremonious tossed from the Hurt Business earlier this year, fans were decrying the breaking up of one of WWE’s few effective stables and bright spots during the Pandemic Era.

And while all of that was true, fans have to remember that for a while, Bobby Lashley and company were embroiled in some of the worst, never-ending feuds on Raw. From basically June through September, Lashley, Benjamin and MVP feuded with Apollo Crews, Ricochet and Alexander. It might not seem like this is a long time for two ongoing feuds, but it literally was every week of the same thing, with no real development or progression.

The entire deal felt like WWE knew they had to fill three hours each week, so they kept throwing out the same guys in the same combinations over and over and over. It was some of the most boring television you could imagine.

In the end, Cedric joined the Hurt Business and the group finally took off in the fall. But man, those were a rough few months for the group.
