The Miz earned his way to the main event of WrestleMania XXVII after a solid two years of outstanding and entertaining work as WWE's best heel. 

Unfortunately, WrestleMania XXVII wasn't about him, it was about the budding rivalry between his challenger John Cena and the host of WrestleMania, The Rock. Because WWE wanted to set up the next year's WrestleMania, this one paid the price.

The main event of WrestleMania XXVII ends with a double-count of all things, before The Rock restarts the match in order to crown a winner.

Then The Rock hit Cena with Rock Bottom, which enabled The Miz to get a very weak win and following a People's Elbow to Miz, WrestleMania went off the air with neither of the main event competitors standing tall as Rock celebrated to close the show.
