Even though he's still reeling from a fairly devastating loss to your friend's dad Bill Goldberg, it's hard to argue against the main roster success of Kevin Owens. He does not fit WWE's standard top heel mold, but he is absolutely a singles star of international caliber. Despite being one of pro wrestling's most notable Québécois alongside Sami Zayn and Pat Patterson, Owens is very much his own man, unconcerned with little other than Kevin Owens.

Suprising, then, that Owens was literally trained by the former tag team championship combination of Jacques Rougeau and Pierre Oulette, the Quebecers. By Owens' own admission, the relationship was not exactly fruitful, and Rougeau tried to strongarm the impressionable rookie into signing an exclusive deal with his shady indie promotion, using a fictional contact with WWE talent relations as a carrot.
