Becky Lynch and Finn Bálor go back a long way, and that's not surprising. The two are only five years apart in age, and so it's easy to imagine them coming up together on the not-exactly-extensive Irish wrestling scene. What you might not expect is that Finn was in fact Lynch's primary trainer.

Yes, at 15 years of age, Becky turned up at a wrestling school run by the future Demon King, himself only twenty years old with two years of experience. That's... not really enough experience to be safely training a minor, which Finn has sheepishly admitted in recent years. The two are now peers, with Bálor becoming the inaugural Universal champion, and Lynch the first SmackDown Live! Women's champion.
