Tye Dillinger has been in and out of various WWE developmental systems for the better part of a decade, and he's only recently gained any sort of appreciable momentum in the last year or so. Two of Tye's early mentors were his current (and seemingly eternal rival) Eric Young and TNA's best-forgotten pro graps Jeff Foxworthy, Cody Deaner.

It may be unexpected, but it does make sense; Tye's 'Perfect Ten' character was originally very comedic in nature, something he could have picked up from Eric "Don't Fire Eric" Young, and like Young, he's gradually evolved to become a more serious main-event contender. Part of that journey was a rivalry with Bobby Roode, the former tag team championship partner of... Eric Young.
