15 Wrestlers WWE Debuted In The WORST Way Possible
11. Emmalina Wastes Your Time

Debut: WWE made fans sit through approx 17 weeks of vignettes promising the "makeover of Emma into Emmalina". Then, the day finally arrived. On the 13 February 2017 Raw, people would get the Valentine's Day love-in started early by ushering in a new era for the often-overlooked rising star. Emmalina would be her ticket to the top of the women's division.
Why It Was Bad: Or not.
After 17 long weeks of samey hype packages, Emmalina appeared on stage and pretty much said, 'Ha! We wasted your time!'. She quickly told fans that they'd now get to sit patiently and wait to see the makeover of Emmalina back to Emma. Commentator Corey Graves, who was tasked with fanboying like few had ever fanboyed before, suddenly went quiet once the penny dropped.
Emmalina ended her speech with a muted "thank you", then walked off. Eek! It became clear to everyone watching that WWE chiefs had started Emma's new character arc without really ever having many plans for it. Their story had a beginning, but no middle or end. It boiled down to 17 weeks of almost identical vignettes and nothing more. What a complete and utter waste of everyone's time, including WWE's.
Christ knows how many hours were spent on those video packages and in the makeup chair, and for what? So "Emmalina" could waltz out on WWE's 'A' show and tell everybody she was reverting to type soon thereafter? The promotion were hanging Emma out to dry here. It was a miserable debut, and a reminder that half baked ideas should be properly thought through first; bad rehearsals or not.
Who knew, eh?!
