File this under 'WWE storylines that didn't make a lick of sense'.

Why let logic get in the way of a good story though, right? Yes, well Lana and Rusev's second on-screen split wasn't a good story. It wasn't even close to being one. It was the worst of latter day Vince McMahon running wild. On the 30 September 2019 Raw, Lana kissed Bobby Lashley and revealed that she was going to get back at Rusev's sex addiction by...having a sexually charged affair with someone else.

Make it make sense. Like the first breakup, this second one only hammered home how much Rusev and Lana needed each other to work as characters at the time. The aforementioned ‘sex addict’ storyline WWE cooked up for Ru was rather awkward as well. Lana lambasted him for wanting to get freaky in a tank at WrestleMania 31, then cavorted with Bobby in hotel rooms with cameras present. The whole premise was typical for Vince in 2019 - it was half mapped out, then the old boss said: 'Ah, who cares about details anyway? Let's just have some fun!'. Sorry, but not many were having fun listening to Lana's hysterical shouting or seeing Lashley ask her back to bed as Rusev seemed to be getting some sort of perverse enjoyment out of the whole ordeal like he'd lost his marbles.

By April 2020, Rusev was gone from WWE and the storyline was scrapped. It'd been losing steam by the week anyway.
