The Game, The Cerebral Assassin, The King of Kingswhatever you want to call him, few can deny that Triple H is one of the greatest competitors the WWE has ever seen, and this extends to his Royal Rumble performances. Entering the Rumble an impressive eight times, Triple Hs first foray into the battle royal came in 1996 under the Hunter Hearst Helmsley gimmick. He lasted an impressive 43 minutes, which showed the managements faith in him. However, the Curtain Call incident with the Kliq led to his burial down the card and he would have to work his way back up, and he did, to the point where his return from a torn quadriceps in 2002 provided one of the loudest crowd reactions ever. The Game promised to win that years Royal Rumble, and he did so impressively, last eliminating Kurt Angle after lasting over 20 minutes. In 2006 he lasted one full hour before being the second-to-last person eliminated as Rey Mysterio claimed victory. In 2008 he went even closer, before a returning John Cena derailed The Game at the very end of the bout, with an FU over the top rope. In 2009 he was again the final elimination, being bundled out of the ring by Randy Orton only seconds after Triple H had incredibly eliminated both of Ortons Legacy teammates. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OT5HwVrePdA While he only won one Royal Rumble match, its clear that The King of Kings has played an integral part in almost all of the matches he has been involved in. Will another superstar take another giant leap up this list in the 2015 Royal Rumble? It looks unlikely, with only Cody Rhodes expected to participate out of this line-up, but thats what makes the Royal Rumble so enjoyable: you just never know who will walk out next.
