14. Men's WrestleMania Fatal Four-Way Tag Team Showcase

The Fatal Four-Way Showcase was absolutely mint.

Nobody really needs to justify a second match spot-fest that exists to maintain the excitement levels without burning out the crowd - but this was really well-marketed.

As a "Showcase", the actual idea was for the wrestlers to get their most impressive sh*t in. This theme built a sense of anticipation throughout, and as the crowd stayed white-hot expecting yet more insanity, all eight men delivered. Chad Gable hitting Braun Strowman with the Chaos Theory was unbelievable, and it was somehow bettered by Ricochet's insane springboard shooting star press to the outside. The breathless action was a level above WWE's usual multi-man fare.

They're underrated at this genre - the Money In The Bank ladder match is usually better than AEW's Casino/Face of the Revolution equivalent, and for whatever reason, a Fatal 5-Way is always the magic number - but this was probably even more impressive given the time allocated to it. That Tower of Doom Spot!

This was relentless by design, a very sophisticated indie-riffic match in that it built and built and built and didn't take the piss with its match length. Whoever laid this out deserves a raise.

It was an economic masterclass of creating excitement.
