Stone Cold wants to know about the origin of The Shield and whose idea it was to put Dean, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns together. HE says it was all organic and not something that was brought up in a meeting.

They made it up as they went along and he thinks that's what made it so special. The three men were friends before they were put together, with Ambrose saying he'd been wrestling Seth for two years straight and they'd gotten close to Roman as well.

Originally the idea was that the trio was going to be goons for CM Punk but that it never really came to pass. He doesn't know the politics and creative of how that all went down. He says the first day they were given giant riot shields. At the time he thought it looked cool, but in retrospect he knows if they would have ran out with those it would have been a failure.

He jokes that someone would have tripped over it - likely him - and his career would have been over. Then they decided to go with tactical gear which they purchased from a surplus store.

The three men had a tremendous chip on their shoulder and were determined to go out and outwork everybody on every single show.
