Finn Bálor's 'Demon' has come for Roman Reigns' soul.

That's the story WWE are about to tell on the lead up to Extreme Rules, at least. Finn's alter ego rampaged out to confront the Universal Champ right at the end of this week's "Super" SmackDown. What a night it was - WWE lived up to the billing by producing one of the best episodes in living memory.

What about those hidden gems though? Did Friday's night show come stacked full of those? Yes, yes it did. This week's SmackDown had some totally confusing botches (that could've been easily avoided with a little more care), and Pat McAfee decided to start dropping now-outlawed catchphrases for current AEW stars whilst Michael Cole sat there with a face that said, 'Aw sh*t, we're about to get yelled at'.

Other things you might've missed include John Cena getting the Bruno Sammartino treatment, Roman Reigns delivering a super-subtle (on "Super" SmackDown) message to Tony Khan, Brock Lesnar getting rather too lame for his badass lumberjack look, and Edge showing appreciation for one of wrestling's most famous venues.

Here's everything you needed eagle eyes to see on SmackDown.
