16 Worst-To-Best Matches Of WWE's Summerslam Weekend
14. Apollo Crews Defeated Tye Dillinger
While yes, Apollo Crews looks impressive and certainly has an impressive finisher, putting him in the ring with Tye Dillinger was a case of the least best person being used as an enhancement talent to get over the potential post-modern Junkyard Dog that Apollo Crews represents. Dillinger's "Perfect 10" gimmick is money. In fact, it's so much money that it overshadows a brand new performer that few really know who's also making his debut in front of more people than he's ever wrestled in front of in his whole entire life. For as much as Apollo Crews' intensity and standing moonsault were cool, it's easily arguable that Tye Dillinger was "10" times cooler. There's literally 20 other people on the NXT roster, namely The Mechanics Scott Dawson, who would've been excellent in this role. Dawson does the job, and Steve Cutler could've attacked after the bell. Apollo Crews has literally ten highspots that he could've chosen from to highlight himself in this scenario.
