16 WWE Attitude Era Tag Teams You Totally Don't Remember

13. The Public Enemy

Public Enemy, the team of Rocco Rock and Johnny Grunge, will be well known to ECW fans as one of the most influential tag teams of the promotion's early history. However, a less known fact is that they also enjoyed - or, more accurately, suffered - a very short run in the WWF. The pair lasted just two months in the company, feuding with The Acolytes and failing to connect with fans. Numerous theories about their failure to fit in have since circulated, including rumours of backstage animosity due to their decision to choose WCW over the WWF earlier in their career. Ultimately, their lack of success indirectly paved the way for the Dudley Boyz, who were also hotshotted into a feud with The Acolytes, the story being that Bradshaw and Faarooq were eager to prove themselves tougher than any ex-ECW tag team.
