A former recipient of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter 'Worst Gimmick of the year,' Orlando Jordan has been a member of the independent circuit since he left TNA in 2010. However, not many fans would remember that the New Jersey-based wrestler defeated John Cena on a SmackDown episode to win the United States Championship. He won the title in 2004 and held it for nearly six months before dropping it to Chris Benoit.

His alliance with JBL helped him rise to the top, but when Jordan lost his title to Benoit, the duo dropped their momentum. Benoit defeated his rival under one minute in three different matches. The creative team turned Jordan face soon, but the company released him in 2006.

Multiple reports have suggested that he would bring unauthorised people backstage along with him. Hence, because of his unprofessional behaviour, WWE had no other option but to send the former US champ out of their organisation.
