2. Why Did He Leave WWE?

The question, perhaps the most controversial of the night, came from an 11 yr old boy on the front row. The kid, trying to pin Rey down in truly mercenary fashion, asked if it was injuries that forced him out. According to Rey, injuries were 50% of his decision to leave, feeling that, after 25+ years, his body was starting to break down and he desperately needed time away. The other 50% was, in Rey's words, "to spend time with his family". Seeing his children already grown up (Dominick, that little boy who shook the ladder at Summerslam is now eighteen years old; that is so depressing), and having missed "countless birthdays" from being on the road, left Rey feeling like he had to spend time off. Tactful as always, Rey didn't mention that WWE had extended his contract without his approval and the legal issues he'd had trying to get out of it. Which leads us to...
