17 Things You Probably Missed From WWE Raw (Aug 16)

11. What Is That?!

OK, so that looks like a turd on the ring steps.

It's not, obviously/hopefully, and is likely part of Veer, Shanky or Jinder Mahal's ring attire that came loose, but it sure looks like a lump of sh*t. WWE's cameras whizzed past the offending item so quickly that it was hard to picture anything else for a few seconds afterwards.

Maybe Jinder squeezed one out in fear after seeing Drew's (literal) claymore?

10. WrestleMania?!

The Miz Botch WrestleMania SummerSlam

The Miz is one of the best mic men in WWE, but he sometimes rambles too quickly and his brain can't keep up. At least, that's what this botch sounded like. The heel said that Damian Priest should get "mentally prepared to get [his] ass whooped this Saturday at WrestleMania".

At WrestleMania.

No, not SummerSlam. To their credit, nobody wobbled after this mistake. Miz, John Morrison and Priest kept rolling with it, and the commentators did a good job of hammering home that it's not 'Mania this weekend. How embarrassing.

9. Sheamus Randomly Putting Jimmy Smith Over

This was unexpected.

An in-character Sheamus tore through former Raw anchor Adnan Virk earlier this year. The United States Champion said that Virk was doing a rotten job as the flagship's play-by-play man on TV, and he even went so far as to question why Virk was even in the company.

Jimmy Smith got something different.

Sheamus sat in on guest comms for Damian Priest vs. The Miz. In between heeling on everyone, he turned to Smith and said he was "doing a great job". Who knows if this was scripted, or if the Irishman just likes what he's hearing from Jimbo.
