17 Things You Probably Missed From WWE Raw (Aug 16)

8. Not Fair To Flair (Again)

WWE Raw SummerSlam
WWE

Michael Cole skipping Charlotte Flair's surname stood out on the latest episode of SmackDown. Apparently, Byron Saxton was watching, because he did exactly the same when hyping up a SummerSlam meet and greet session on Monday's Raw.

The strange thing here is that WWE deleting Charlotte's surname wasn't consistent. They jumped between pretending the Flair name didn't exist and using that same famous moniker to build towards her upcoming match this Saturday...

7. Evidence!

Case in point.

WWE ran a graphic for the mystery partner tag match during Mace vs. Mansoor. On it, they proudly displayed Charlotte Flair's surname front and centre. Again, this was weird when they'd gone out of their way to avoid saying it earlier during the same broadcast.

It'll be impossible for WWE to phase out the Flair name at this stage in Charlotte's career - they shouldn't even try.

6. Nimble Ref Is Nimble

Omos Referee
WWE

Check out that nimble ref leaping back over the security barrier after making sure Randy Orton was fine and dandy during his match opposite towering "colossus" Omos. The official almost jumped off one knee, which was slick as all hell.

Nobody tell reigning 24/7 Champ Reggie what happened here. That referee is coming for his parkour crown if this is anything to go by. Maybe/maybe not.
