18 Things You Probably Missed From WWE SmackDown (July 2)

15. Edge Echoing WrestleMania 37

Edge Roman Reigns Jimmy Uso
WWE

WWE stuck one spot in particular from WrestleMania 37 up on the tron - it showed Edge choking the life out of Roman Reigns in a crossface. Later, Edge decided to work the exact same hold on a helpless Jimmy Uso, and he even produced a chair leg for the sequel.

Seeing both spots side-by-side shows that they're exactly the same. What a cool callback.

14. Knows He Smashed It

Edge Smile
WWE

Only Edge knows if this coy little smile was planned or adlibbed.

Regardless, it did seem like the legend knew he'd smashed his promo when he left the ring. He had a smug look on his face, and appeared to be quietly telling himself, 'Yeah, I owned that one' as he walked back up the ramp towards the stage.

The man's performance was top tier stuff from beginning to end.

13. Who Cares About Titles?

Shinsuke Nakamura Rick Boogs
WWE

WWE normally put some title hauls up on those entrance graphics if they're worth talking about, and (let's be real) Shinsuke Nakamura's championship history is certainly worth exploring. He's a former two-time NXT and United States Champ, and he's also held the Intercontinental and SmackDown Tag belts.

That's just in WWE. Shin has worn a wealth of gold elsewhere.

SmackDown's graphics dept didn't talk about any of that here though. Nah, they wanted to let you know what Naka's Twitter handle was. Cheers for that, lads.
