18 Things You Probably Missed From WWE SmackDown (July 2)

9. Still The ‘King’?

Or until WWE decide to give Baron Corbin his title back.

Corbin's entrance tune and graphics were still royal on this week's SmackDown. It's a bit of a shocker that management didn't decree that Baron's assets had to change immediately after losing the crown. Coming out to all that 'King' stuff doesn't exactly reflect his recent fall from grace.

8. “Only One Way To End This”

Bianca Belair told Bayley that an "I Quit" match at Money In The Bank was the "only way to end" their rivalry on Friday nights. Pardon? Feud finality used to belong in fearsome gimmicks like Hell In A Cell, but those days are very much over.

WWE are now content to go from Cell matches to lesser stipulation bouts month-to-month. It's almost like that cage war between the pair on 20 June didn't happen.

7. Doubting Bayley Or Doubting The Story?

A fan's face on one of the ThunderDome screens said it best.

She screwed up her expression when WWE wheeled out the "I Quit" idea. Either that or she was just playing along and doubting what Bayley was saying to Belair. It could've been that, admittedly, but there was an air of, 'Seriously?!' about her sneer too.
