11. Goldberg (c) Vs. Braun Strowman

It was very apparent from his one and only appearance in front of a United States crowd as Universal Champion that Bill Goldberg was far from the people's choice after dethroning The Fiend in Saudi Arabia 24 hours earlier.

The question after the go-home edition of SmackDown was, was Braun Strowman any more suitable for the role than Roman Reigns?

WWE didn't get the answer of WrestleMania of course - they'll know nothing of their audience until all of this has finally passed. Strowman himself was understandably thrilled to patrol the ring with the Universal Title a full two years after he should have won it and a full two minutes after the bell rang to gift him the gold.

This was a formula we've become familiar with over the last few years. Only finishers, only falls, until one of the behemoths stays down for the count. The lack of typical satisfaction that comes with a title change was either as result of the tepid atmosphere or because 'The Monster Among Men' is a lost cause.

Until the fans return, that'll remain a mystery.
