Brock Lesnar and Goldberg are really two birds of a feather. They were plucked off the street by companies that loved their look, neither really had a passion for pro wrestling, but both were instantly successful thanks to their natural skills and charisma.

And of course, both of their initial WWE runs ended at the same point in the same, disastrous fashion. Whereas Brock Lesnar's initial run was one fans look back on fondly with classics against The Undertaker and Kurt Angle, Goldberg's first run was... pretty bad. Oh sure, he won the World Heavyweight Championship, but it was clear from the get-go WWE had no real interest in utilizing Goldberg how he was in WCW.

With Brock getting fed up with the travel schedule, and Goldberg just plain getting fed up with wrestling, it seemed odd to put them in a match together at WrestleMania XX, seeing as how they both had one foot out the door. Sure enough, the match was an absolute stinker, with the fans booing them both out of the building and neither making even a cursory effort.

It was pretty much the exact opposite of going out with your head held high for both men.
