CM Punk's 2019 return to pro wrestling via Fox show WWE Backstage wasn't really the vehicle many hoped it would be for the 'Voice Of The Voiceless'.

Many assumed the show allowed him to go in two-footed on a mostly wretched WWE product, but to avoid selling himself out completely by praising it, Punk typically used his spot on the show to praise the talents he liked and leave the rest of the conversation to the panel. Having debuted paraphrasing a Roddy Piper line promising to "change the culture", Punk's performance was engaging but relatively safe.

It was during a digital exclusive following an episode (that didn't feature Punk in the building) where The Miz - having been a special guest - joked about the episode, noting that “Oh, sorry I didn’t change the culture.

The words were heard loud and clear by the intended target, who replied directly on Twitter with the retort, "go suck a blood money covered d*ck in Saudi Arabia you f*cking dork".

Punk, with some regrettable under(?)tones, was referencing the company's recent deal with Saudi Arabia and Miz working the shows. Something he might have to confront too. And speaking of having to confront something...
