18. He Was Fired When He Was A Part Of The Rockers
When Michaels first started in WWE as part of the "Midnight Rockers" tag team with Marty Jannetty, they had a rep from working in the AWA as guys that partied hard. They were into drinking and doing drugs. A lot of people were in the late 1980s. That's just how the lifestyle was. They got into an incident with other wrestlers where Michaels broke a piece of glass in a bar just as a way to show how wild they really were. He claimed that he did it partly as a joke, but people took it the wrong way. As Michaels told the story in his autobiography, Vince McMahon commented on his snakeskin boots and remarked that they were made for walking. That led to the exit of The Rockers in WWE. They were quickly brought back to the company but Michaels can still say he was one of the best wrestlers ever that survived getting fired by McMahon.
