19 Things You Probably Missed From WWE SmackDown (July 9)

4. Why Didn’t The Ref Count?

Charles Robinson is one of the best referees in the business, and he has been since he was on WCW's payroll as 'Little Naitch". This was weird though. Cesaro hit a clumsy powerbomb on Seth Rollins out of the corner, and then transitioned into a perfectly legit pin attempt.

For some reason, Chuck didn't count.

Robinson gawked at Cesaro, then the turnbuckle pad that Rollins had ripped off, and finally counted a near fall. Was this a mistake, or something? It seemed suspect, almost like Seth was supposed to hold on and the pin wasn't supposed to happen.

3. This Funny Aftermath

Later, Cesaro's head was busted open like a watermelon. There was loads of blood, but he gutted it out to finish the match as planned. The fun didn't stop there - Bayley posted a pic on social media of her pointing and laughing at Cesaro's misfortune.

The injured star, who will be benched for nine months with an ACL tear, appeared to be having a ball giggling away at Cesaro's bloody face.

How rude.

2. Michael Hayes?

Speaking of rude.

Eagle eyes scanning the entire shot during Seth Rollins' backstage promo with Kayla Braxton may have spotted a shadowy figure shooing someone away. That "someone" looked a hell of a lot like WWE official Michael Hayes.

Hayes, or someone who resembles him, ambled out of an elevator when Seth was in full flow. He quickly darted off to the left of the screen, and the aforementioned shadowy bloke could be seen pointing. It's not common to see this kind of thing happen in WWE nowadays.
