19 Wrestlers From Raw's Debut Year Who Are No Longer With Us

18. Lord Alfred Hayes

Those who had a collection of Coliseum home videos back in the late 1980s and early 1990s will recognise the voice of Lord Alfred Hayes. Though he had a much reduced role in the WWE by the time Raw had debuted, he did make occasional appearances as an presenter. His voice also delivered the €œPromotional consideration, paid for by the following,€ message that would precede the many adverts for ICOPRO and Slim Jims that appeared during broadcasts for the first couple of years. Hayes retired from the business in 1995 following a car accident. Unfortunately the accident caused gangrene to set in and he had to have part of his leg removed, confining him to a wheelchair for the rest of his life. He eventually passed away in 2005 after a number of strokes at the age of 76.
