19 Wrestlers From Raw's Debut Year Who Are No Longer With Us
18. Lord Alfred Hayes
Those who had a collection of Coliseum home videos back in the late 1980s and early 1990s will recognise the voice of Lord Alfred Hayes. Though he had a much reduced role in the WWE by the time Raw had debuted, he did make occasional appearances as an presenter. His voice also delivered the Promotional consideration, paid for by the following, message that would precede the many adverts for ICOPRO and Slim Jims that appeared during broadcasts for the first couple of years. Hayes retired from the business in 1995 following a car accident. Unfortunately the accident caused gangrene to set in and he had to have part of his leg removed, confining him to a wheelchair for the rest of his life. He eventually passed away in 2005 after a number of strokes at the age of 76.
