19 WWE Extras Who Became World Champion
5. Damian Priest
The latest performer to join this fascinating list of names, current-World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest may have only officially joined up with WWE in 2018, but sports entertainment fans actually saw him on-screen four years before putting pen to paper on that deal.
Going through the typical up-and-coming wrestler rite of passage that is playing a tough-looking member of security, the former Punishment Martinez showed up in the background at Money in the Bank 2014.
This particular segment saw a Stephanie McMahon in full belittling every talent who got in her way mode, with Nikki & Brie Bella's reliving of Steph's recent mud pool bath courtesy of a fired Vickie Guerrero leading to the McMahon having the latter Bella - who had "quit" WWE around this time as part of the ongoing McMahon/Kane/Daniel Bryan storyline - escorted from the building.
It's as painful a watch as you'd expect, but it's still worth it just to see the eventual Judgment Day man bizarrely (and rather awkwardly) wandering around the WWE corridors a few years before his faction would run the whole show on Monday Nights.
