2 Ups & 1 Down From This Week's Impact Wrestling (Nov 22)

Downs...

1. One Match Show

Literally.

It's a saying that goes around quite a bit these days, particularly for many of WWE's non-NXT events, that a show can be made by just one good match. A recent example of this was Seth Rollins vs The Miz at Backlash in May. An excellent match to open the show, while the rest of the night was a trainwreck. Well, this week's Impact was the exact opposite of that saying. The second annual 'Eli Drake Gravy Train Turkey Trot' was the sole match of the show, and what a shambles it was.

For starters, why on earth were Kikutaro and Glenn Gilbertti involved? They made no major changes to how the match played out (bar Glenn being the one to wear the turkey suit). Prior to the match, all competitors agreed to an oath that meant they would be forced to wear the suit should they lose. So if the person didn't put it on, what would happen to them? Fired? Suspended? Fined?

All in all, it was just a meaningless night to build towards this. If you like having a laugh in wrestling, this is the sort of thing for you.
