2 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW: Battle Of The Belts II

3. Scorpio Sky’s Reign

Someone needs to pop a hand up backstage during creative meetings and ask Tony Khan what he's doing with the once-proud TNT Title. Does Tony think he's booking a modern-day complement to WWE's Intercontinental Title, or something? That's how the thing is being handled, and it sucks.

Nobody since Miro has given this strap any steam.

Scorpio Sky won the title on 9 March, and he just dropped it to Sammy Guevara on 15 April. That's hardly a reign fans will remember. The worst thing about all this is that Sky seemed to be enjoying his time in the sun; Dan Lambert and Ethan Page were also cutting some nifty promos about the championship too.

Men Of The Year hadn't even scratched the surface of this push before AEW top brass cruelly pulled it away. They did so to book a title change for the sake of it, and that's not something this promotion should be doing. Not. At. All.
