2 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage (Feb 2 - Results & Review)

Ups...

2. Started Off With A Fun One

Matches like Private Party vs. Top Flight take on slightly more meaning now the AEW rankings are back. That system elevates such bouts from a quickfire string of spots without anything on the line to an energetic clash between two hungry young teams who someday dream of being AEW Tag-Team Champions.

The live crowd was right into Party here. If handled correctly, they've probably got a shot at breaking out as a popular babyface act akin to The Acclaimed. Then, Tony Khan can bungle their tag title run and put them back with Matt Hardy or something. Only joking. Hopefully!

Sometimes, this fan wishes these teams would slow down a touch and let some of the moves they hit breathe, but nobody can blame them for getting carried away or excited mid-match. It also can't be denied that this was a slick outing from both sides.

They're now one win apiece, so a rubber match is on the cards to determine who rockets up the rankings.
