2 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage (Feb 2 - Results & Review)

1. One Last Hurrah

Alex Reynolds Big Bill
AEW

Ricky Starks and Big Bill vs. Alex Reynolds and John Silver was Friday night's second solid tag-teamer for AEW. Regular readers here are likely shocked to see The Dark Order take the top 'Up' spot (this writer is no fan of that group and would like to see the gimmick vanish), but they fully deserve it.

Reynolds and Silver did everything in their power to look competitive whilst putting over how unstoppable the champs are. Meanwhile, Darby Allin sat in on guest commentary and sprinkled some more context on his upcoming title shot alongside Sting on Wednesday's episode of Dynamite.

There was nothing groundbreaking here, but it worked well for a show like Rampage.

This is presumably one last hurrah for Starks and Bill as a team too. It'd be a shocker if they toppled Darby and Sting midweek, especially when the Stinger is heading into the final month of his career and definitely shouldn't be losing until Revolution brings the curtain down on his epic career.
