2 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage (July 28)

3. Some Teams Don’t Need Squashes

Mike Bennett and Matt Taven do not need to blast their way through enhancement workers on episodes of Rampage. The ROH pair are a workmanlike tag-team, not a physically-imposing one, and this squash bout was a complete and utter waste of TV time AEW will never get back.

What the f*ck is the point in drafting Bennett and Taven up for this? Yours truly doesn't understand it at all, and happens to think it made for fairly brutal television. Hey, at least it was short. A few folks out there will cover arses by saying that makes it inoffensive, but the purpose of TV time is to progress.

The Kingdom has ROH for their matches.

Don't tell us that Tony Khan is about to soak Rampage in more Ring Of Honor content during the lead up to All In. That'd be a nightmare (and, again, a total misuse of minutes) for the Friday night weekly. They literally have their own show, for crying out loud.
