2 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage (July 28)

2. How Many Battle Royales Are Enough?!

Time for a confession: This guy audibly groaned out loud upon realising that this week's Rampage would open with a tag-team multi-man. How many Battle Royals (or Battle Royales) can one promotion book? It's lazy, and Rampage fans already witnessed another similar melee just last week.

Being totally honest, these busy matches have never really suited AEW's roster anyway. There are too many bodies flying around, and everyone tends to get a bit lost. That can lead to some stuffy, sloppy-looking performances, which is exactly what happened here.

Give this match type a rest, please.

Somebody out there presumably likes Battle Royales (Tony Khan f'n does!), but they're pretty much all the same. One could've replayed parts of last week's match if it hadn't taken place in two rings because of the 'Blood & Guts' gimmick.
