2 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage (July 28)

1. Trying To Eliminate Himself?

AEW Battle Royale Isiah Kassidy Brother Zay
AEW

This looked bad.

AEW's camera crew is guilty of catching things they probs shouldn't, and Isiah Kassidy's Shawn Michaels impression was one of them. Brother Zay went up and over the top rope during the opener courtesy of Jay Lethal, then bizarrely chucked himself down near the floor and held on with one arm.

Huh? He did that to himself. Lethal wasn't involved, and it was mega-obvious that Kassidy put his own participation in the bout at risk when he didn't actually need to. This was one of several clunky moments throughout the match; Isiah wasn't the only guilty party.

This might sound like singling one guy out, but the cam angle did Zay zero favours. The last entry claimed Battle Royales don't suit many on AEW's roster, and the Private Party man/Hardy Boy associate is 100% one of them. He's a flyer, and it's hard to do that with 800 other wrestlers in there.
