2 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage (Mar 25)

Downs...

4. Not Sure This Is Clicking

Ricky Starks Juice Robinson
AEW

Ricky Starks has managed to get himself over recently, but going from a feud with Chris Jericho and JAS to one vs. Juice Robinson is questionable. Yes, Juice is one hell of a wrestler in-ring. Sadly, his character still hasn't been fleshed out in front of the AEW audience, so it's hard for people to care about this mini-issue.

Why doesn't Tony Khan understand that character/story is half the battle?

A promo segment between both guys on Rampage proved that they've got their work cut out for them. If this is going to blossom into something more, and isn't just a short-term buffer before Ricky's actual program heading into Double Or Nothing, then Robinson will need some context.

'Ex-WWE NXT guy who went to Japan and started killing it' isn't enough. AEW fans deserve something to hang their hat on with Juice, and they need it yesterday. For now, as the face-to-face proved, this rivalry isn't really clicking.
