2 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage (Nov 10 - Results & Review)

Ups...

2. Red Velvet’s Return

Red Velvet is 1-1 since returning from a nasty injury.

She lost to Julia Hart on Dynamite, then scored this win over Ruby Soho on Rampage. It's nice to see Velvet back, because she's a welcome boost to the women's division and was coming along quite nicely before a nasty injury derailed her career. Hopefully, Red can pick right up where she left off.

Velvet looked good here, and it isn't her fault that Ruby suddenly turned into 2002 Jackie Gayda towards the end of their battle. That's on Soho, especially because the Outcast is a true veteran compared to Red. Also, if nothing else, it was nice to see a fresher face get some much-needed ring time on Rampage.

Red Velvet, Skye Blue and Willow Nightingale are all women who add depth to the division, and that's something AEW management should cherish. Now, the next challenge will be getting Velvet into a meaningful spot/story that keeps her on TV for more than mere exhibition matches.
