2 Ups & 5 Downs From AEW Rampage (April 7)

1. Something Different For Rampage

Some out there won't dig the crowd-based approach Hook and Ethan Page took for their FTW Title bout, but it did offer something totally different to what fans typically see on Rampage. The Friday night show doesn't feature this kind of thing too often, so it felt fresh.

Although the usual pic-in-pic interruption ruined the flow, both guys still managed to piece together one of the more interesting FTW Title situations All Elite enthusiasts have ever witnessed from the promotion. That's a win, and so was the killer table bump Hook took at ringside.

How smooth was that?

Giving Taz's boy a win via submission only sold how dangerous he can be too. Hook-mania has cooled since he burst onto the scene, but he's developing nicely and is poised for bigger and better things come the summer. A win over Page will help with that.
