2 Ups & 5 Downs From AEW Rampage (May 13)
1. More Contractual B*llocks
Oh f*ck, this is still dragging on?!
The Firm owning Matt Hardy and Private Party's contracts was rotten, and the thought of Matt owning Ethan Page's AEW deal is similarly boring. Does Tony Khan think this passes as top-notch storytelling, or something? Who cares about the contractual nonsense when it doesn't seem to mean anything anyway?
That segment with The Hardys, Isiah Kassidy and The Gunns wasn't great. Kassidy's little sex noises are grating, The Gunns suddenly making decisions on behalf of Page makes no sense, and Matt went from saying he never wanted to see Ethan again to wanting to own his contract in about 12 seconds.
Jeff even chimed in to say: "Matt, you need to end this contract talk". Too right, it's awful and isn't over. Brace yourselves for The Hardys beating The Gunns, then Ethan Page following Matt and Jeff around post-Firm. How thrilling does that sound? Yawn.
