2 Ups & 5 Downs From AEW Rampage (Oct 20 - Results & Review)
2. A Problem AEW Don’t Want To Discuss
Excalibur happened to mention that Bryan Keith made his debut on Rampage in a "competitive" match with Hangman Page a month and a half ago. He was handed the vignette treatment then stared at the lights for Page in just over three minutes. Fast forward to Friday, and he's in an enhancement role losing two-minute tag squashes.
This is why it's difficult to show faith when Tony Khan shouts loudly on social media about his latest toy. His company loses interest so, so quickly, and Keith is living proof of that. It was almost laughable when Excalibur then claimed that Bryan "turned a lot of heads with that performance".
Pull the other one, mate. He "turned" so many heads that he hasn't been on AEW TV since, and has now been reduced to jobbing for a team who don't even need squashes! This is something All Elite Wrestling doesn't want to talk about, but it's worth bringing up.
People aren't daft. If you hype countless wrestlers/matches without proper follow up, then fans will stop caring the next time you try it.
