2 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE SmackDown (31 Oct - Results & Review)

2. Another Solid Win For MFT
Obviously, as aforementioned, finding glowing positives to rave about from SmackDown was a challenge, but Tama Tonga and JC Mateo did beat The Motor City Machine Guns in a basic but well worked tag-team outing. This is all geared towards building MFT's case for a shot at The Wyatt Sicks and the tag belts. Triple H will have to get moving on that soon.
Special mention to Tama - he looked particularly good out there again. It also seems like his hard work (man's muscled up!) will be rewarded with a United States Title shot soon too. The Machine Guns have settled into the groove of having decent matches without really doing much else, but at least they’re good at it. Hunter knows he can always rely on Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley go out there and give him something solid.
Switching out Tonga Loa for JC Mateo by Tama's side was the right call as well. Injuries interrupted some of the flow this MFT stuff had in the tag game, but now they're rocking and seem poised to be the next champs. That can't come soon enough, because The Sicks haven't exactly been tearing the house down since winning the titles.
MFT vs. Motor City, Fraxiom, Los Garza, DIY and others would make for a robust tag division on SmackDown heading through the end of the year into early-2026. Or, y'know, just strap a rocket to Tama and see how far he can go. He might need to start saying more than just "y'yeah' in promos mind.
Solid action.
