2 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE NXT UK (10 June)

2. A Perfect Symbiosis

Much like Jordan Devlin vs. Saxon Huxley, Symbiosis’ Primate and T-Bone vs. Andy Wild and Dan Moloney was intended as a squash match in favour of the former, but instead became a standard tag match. Here, it actually worked.
Unlike Saxon, neither Andy nor Dan is a full-time member of the brand (that we know of, anyway). Keeping them looking fresh does no harm to them or their opponents; if they do sign official contracts, they’ll be coming in already meaning something. That’s what you need. It then helped that Wild, in particular, looked like a legitimate beast across from Eddie Dennis’ boys.
‘The Dad Bod God’ was tossing Primate and T-Bone across the ring with gorgeous, Brock Lesnar-level belly-to-belly suplexes. He’s clearly going to be something special if he does sign. He was even kept looking strong in taking the fall; it took both a running Powerslam and a top-rope headbutt to put him down.
In one swift motion, Symbiosis rebounded from their loss to Gallus, cementing them as credible contenders for Pretty Deadly – who were providing guest commentary here – and Andy Wild, a quote unquote enhancement talent, was made to look like a genuine main event player. This did everything it needed to.
