If you only watch one match from Smackers, make it this one.

Sami Zayn was the perfect worker for this spot. He did everything in his power to make Dominik Mysterio look like a million bucks, and it worked. The pair had a tidy little match together, and then they managed to further the ongoing tension between Dom and his daddy Rey.

Special shoutout to Kevin Owens on guest commentary for the night - KO helped Michael Cole and Corey Graves spin the narrative that Sami should be putting Dominik away easily. Then, to his credit, Owens pointed out that Zayn was also keen to show a different side of himself and some next-level aggression.

Everything clicked during this one. Dom had a singles bout he can be proud of, WWE got more of the angle they're into, and Zayn gave back to an emerging young star without having to do the job. Both men worked hard, and they deserve your attention.
