2 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE SmackDown (May 8)

2. 'King' Corbin's New Lackeys

This isn't an issue that's particularly exclusive to this episode, but it's time for another rant.

Why are Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro suddenly so keen to watch 'King' Corbin's back? Where is Sami Zayn? What the f*ck happened to Corbin's previous crew Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode? None of those questions have been answered by WWE. It's almost like the 'King' has the power to make any heel with nothing to do follow him around.

Honestly, Shin saved Corbin mid-match on SmackDown like the guy had incriminating photos of him or something. Both he and Cesaro, who were previously Zayn's boys and had a reason for aligning with him, are now just sorta' spinning their wheels and pretending that Corbin is the best thing since leather-look jumpsuits and ultra-protective mouth guards.

It's not doing Nakamura or Cesaro any favours. Yes, they're WWE vets who aren't exactly a focal point right now, but painting them as Corbin's version of the Mean Street Posse is infuriating for anyone who cares about either man.
