2 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE SmackDown (May 8)

1. Every MITB Go Home Ever

Prediction #2: 'King' Corbin won't win the men's Money In The Bank match.

If the chrome-domed royal had a hope in hell of doing so, then he wouldn't have closed SmackDown by holding the green briefcase. Again, much like with Tamina's win over Bayley that won't bag her pay-per-view success, this is just how WWE does business. Those who look dominant on TV beforehand rarely get supershow moments to be proud of.

The massive problem with this method is that it removes a bit of suspense from the coming match. 'Oh well, we know Corbin isn't winning' will be the universal cry from those tuning into SmackDown's go home serving, and they'd be right. Put it this way: Corbin winning MITB would now be the seismic shock of the weekend.

It cannot be that hard to come up with a fresher way to close MITB's build. Seeing one wrestler pose with the case as the cameras fade is so stock now, and it does nothing to sell the pay-per-view as an important or dramatic one.
