2 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Nov 13)

2. “Brand-To-Brand Invitational”

There's no point in sugarcoating it: WWE's "Brand-To-Brand Invitational" sucks every bit as much as their old "Wildcard Rule" did last year. It's hard to stomach the thought that major Raw stars like Drew McIntyre would be allowed to waltz on over to SmackDown for the odd appearance so soon after the 2020 Draft.

You'd think that whole Draft thing didn't matter. Ahem.

Fans were told that the USA Network and FOX were competing for talent contracts just last month. Why would USA be so happy to let McIntyre show up on a rival network? To promote Survivor Series? Get real. That's the top annoyance with this pay-per-view; it spits on what happened right beforehand.

Drew shouldn't have been on SmackDown. He tried his best to explain the mini-invasion, but that was a losing battle and only made a mockery of the so-called "ironclad" (WWE's own words during last year's Draft) brand contracts workers definitely don't have.
