2 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE WrestleMania SmackDown (April 1)

4. A Senseless Tag Match

WWE pulled the nose up on the Women's Tag Title situation by slotting in a fine fatal-four-way last week. It wasn't perfect, and the old 'reigning champ gets pinned' trope popped up again, but everyone involved put on an energetic display that sucked fans in.

Now for the bad news.

Naomi and Sasha Banks just toppled the current champions Queen Zelina and Carmella in a straight up two-on-two match. Why is this a minor disaster? Well, credibility matters, and now the titleholders have none heading into WrestleMania. If anything, they're only keeping the belts warm.

In retrospect, the past few weeks would've been an ideal chance for WWE to present Zelina/'Mella as partners who might not see eye-to-eye but remain the best duo in the division. It's also sucky that Vega is the one eating pins all the time.
