2. Too Little, Too Late

Some folks out there will take Happy Corbin's joke about Drew McIntyre's deceased mother as another sports entertainment rise designed to get fans on the babyface's side. Others, meanwhile, will detest it and view it as a last-ditch attempt to make this interminable feud mean something before WrestleMania.

This writer is in the latter camp.

Regardless of your personal opinions about using real-life death to inject emotion, one thing is true: WWE waited far too long to try and plonk some actual heat into this rivalry. It was all stolen swords and 'Drew vs. The World' stuff until Corbin and Madcap Moss brought up life-altering family tragedy.

McIntyre's intensity at the end of SmackDown was admirable, but it again illustrated why WWE's writers should be doing more with him. Being brutally honest, the fact they had to go to such extreme lengths in the first place proves that the feud hasn't been clicking.
