2 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE WrestleMania SmackDown (April 1)

Ups...

2. Teacher’s Pet

Credit where credit is due. Everyone involved in this 'Pat McAfee thinks Austin Theory is a little teacher's pet and a coward' storyline is smashing it; McAfee looks passionate, brave and explosive, Theory is coming across as someone who believes he's destined for the top because he's making key connections and Vince?

Well, Vince is Vince.

McMahon showed face on this week's SmackDown (first time in a while on the blue show for ol' Vinnie) to lecture Pat about leaving his position behind the broadcast booth. Behind him, Theory smirked like the head boy in class as his chief rival took a verbal pasting from the headmaster.

WWE's camera crew made sure to keep everyone in shot so you'd see the full range of emotions. Vince was furious, McAfee knew he couldn't push it and Austin was all, 'na-nana-na-naaaaa'. This is the best way this story could've played, to be frank.
