2 Ups & 7 Downs From WWE SmackDown (6 March)

6. That's The Payoff?

Heavy Machinery Otis Mandy Rose
WWE

"It's a little too late" and, "A lady doesn't appreciate being stood up like that" were two lines Mandy Rose used to repel Otis on this week's show. They would've been fine had Mandy uttered them several weeks ago instead of waiting until early-March to vent her feelings.

The unrealistic dialogue train and pretence that wrestlers only speak to one another on episodes (rather than behind closed doors during the week) continues. Worse, it already looks like WWE are looking for the exit door on this story rather than booking a satisfying conclusion; unless they want to totally lose all of Heavy Machinery's momentum, Otis must fend off Dolph Ziggler.

There wasn't any shred of curiosity in Mandy's voice when Otis said he'd received texts either. If she didn't send them, wouldn't she like to know who did? The big lunk clearly isn't lying, and you'd think Rose would want to get to the bottom of the mystery before pie-facing her Valentine's date just like that.

This better not be the end.
